Pepperidge Farm Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookies

One of my favorite products from Pepperidge Farm are their Caramel Apple cookies.  When it comes to cookies, Pepperidge Farm knows how to do it right.  Have you ever had their Oatmeal Raisin?  Have you ever popped their chewey Chocolate Chip cookies into the microwave for that fresh out of the oven taste?  They do a phenomenal job of capturing flavor, texture, and appeal all in one bag.  Sure, they may be a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.  I must have spent at least $40 on Pepperidge Farm Caramel Apple cookies over the course of two years.  Yeah, they're that good and that's why I finally decided to give their Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies a chance!

These Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies aren't new to store shelves, but I never gave them the time of day.  When I first bought the Caramel Apple cookies at Stop & Shop, I remember the cashier telling me how great these were.  She went on and on about their flavor and just how delicious they are.  Then she looked at my Caramel Apple bag of cookies and completely changed her tune.  "Oh..yeahh.. these look good, too."  Then she continued ringing up as if I was buying vomit over her beloved Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies.  Well fear not, cashier lady, because I've finally acquired enough of a likeness for Pumpkin that I'm ready to give these their long over-due Holidaze review.  Somewhere, in the world of retail, she's out there smiling.

They smell good!  They look even better.  For as much as I dislike Pumpkin, I probably love Cheesecake enough to make up for it.  This combination may actually work out in my favor.  Like I've said a thousand times already, I am desperately trying to fall in love with Pumpkin so I can join the rest of you Pumpkinheads.  I want to be in line at Starbucks and be mistaken for a gay man when I go on and on about how great Pumpkin Spice latte's are with the white girl in front of me who can't even.  I want to post witty Pumpkin Spice meme's next September and not be the guy who says "here we go again."  Nope, I want to join your cult and be one of the masses, but it's taking me time because my taste buds don't want to be buds with Pumpkin.  Mind over matter and, slowly but surely, Pumpkin and I are becoming friends.  In this case, my good pal Cheesecake is going to help bridge the gap.

I wish I could find that cashier who basically gave these a Holidaze review before I did, because I'd probably hug her to the point that my arms got stuck in her Stop & Shop vest.  These are amazing and I've obviously been missing out all these years.  Whether it's be growing more accustomed to the flavor or these just being that good, Pepperidge Farm Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies find the perfect line between tasting like innards and tasting like Fall.  The Cheesecake bits offset whatever it is that I normally don't like and make this one hell of a treat.  I don't think I'd rank them higher than Caramel Apple, and I know that officially ends the relationship between that cashier and I, but they're a close second.  If you're looking for a delicious Fall cookie, you can't go wrong with this one.  Pepperidge Farm Pumpkin Cheesecake cookies are a hit and now I understand why they're always sold out, but quickly restocked.
